ところが、私が英語で話そうとしても私の語学力不足で自分の意思を相手に伝えることができず困りました。また、彼女たちの中にも英語を話せないスタッフもおり、中国語の通訳を通さないと話すことができない場面もありました。確かに英語は世界共通ですが、中国に私たちの代理店がある以上、私たちは現地の言葉でのコミュニケーションも必要だと思いました。

But when I tried to talk in English, I could not communicate enough because my English wasn't good enough. Some of them could not speak English as well, and there were times when we couldn't communicate without a Chinese interpreter. Yes, English is a universal language, but since we have our agency in China, we need to communicate in local language as well.

However, I couldn't explain what I think because of my English skill. Also, there are people who can not speak English. So, some times we have to communicate through Chinese interpretation. Although English is common language I think it is necessary for us to speak their language because we have agency in China.
