輸入後、私達が商品を確認し、不良があった場合のみご連絡します。
その場合でもできる限り返品をしたくないので、(何故なら関税などが返ってこないですし、お互いに損をするので)値引きなどで対処させて頂くことが多いです。

Regarding b, we won't return the item as we deal with returns because of the customers' personal preferences by ourselves.
After importing it, we will check the item and will let you know in case there are any defects.
Even in the case of defects, we will mostly offer a discount to the customer so that we could avoid returns as much as possible. (Because the customs duty won't be returned anyway and it is a waste of money for both of us.)
Regarding b, should we cover the customs duty for any returns, even if the item is clearly a defect?

After importing it, we will check the item and will contact you only when any defects are found.
Also in those situations, we would like to avoid returning (because the tax won't be returned and both of the parties end up losing) and prefer dealing it by deducting the price..etc.
