●Have you had any "so that's what our foreign guests actually think!" moments?
Since Judaism, Christianity and Islam - three of the world biggest religions - are all monotheic, some of the more devout believers avoid visiting Shinto shrines and Buddhist temples. In that case it's best not to force them but to explain the polytheic nature of Buddhism and Shinto and their differences from major religions in a way that is easy to understand.

In reality foreign visitors think so! Have you ever thought so?
Judaism, Christianity, Islam – believers of those world religions have faith in One and Sole God, so it will be better to avoid asking them to visit Shinto and Buddhist temples. In such matters you should carefully, without forcing, explain them about polytheism differences of Buddhism and Shinto from major religions in simple for understanding way.

Would you tell me what you are careful about when you escort the foreign customers?
I always try to pay attention to what the customers are interested in (for example, garden, building, Buddhism art and traditional art). I also escort them to the different spots. Then they do not get sick and tired of it.

May I have a message in English to customers?
I will be happy to help you make your stay in Kyoto a pleasant and unforgettable one.
