私は、日本の消費税増税に対して、否定的です。北欧のような２０％もの増税をすることによって、国が社会保障に使えるお金が増え、我々の生活がよくなる可能性があることは理解しています。

しかし、今の若い人たち（主に20代）の生活を見て考えよう。
働く知人の話を聞く限り、月にもらっている給料は、税金や保険料などを差し引くと、月収は20万程度であることが多い。これは国税庁からのデータからも明らかであり、20代の平均を見ると248万から344万と、月収で20万から30万に満たないとわかる。

I am against Japan increasing its consumption tax. I understand that our lives can be better because more money will be available for social security, like Northern Europe which increased its tax to 20 %.

However, lets look and think about the lives of the younger population (mainly in their 20s).
According to my friend who works, the monthly salary, after subtracting taxes and insurance payment, for most people the income is about 200,000 yen. As it is clear from data taken by the National Tax Administration Agency, the average yearly income is between 2,480,000 to 3,440,000 yen, making the monthly income between 200,000 to less than 300,000 yen.

However, let's think about young generations(especially twenties).
According to my friends, their monthly salary, is mostly about 200,000JPY after deducting tax and insurance fees. This is obvious from National Tax Agency's data, the average annual salary for twenties are about 2,480,000 to 3,440,000JPY so monthly salary is about 200,000 and less than 300,000JPY.

もし、これ以上増税されるとどうなるだろうか。私は、若い人たちの生活が崩壊してしまうと考える。働くことの意義は人のよってそれぞれだろうが、大半の人々は日々の生活の余裕がなくなり、好きなこともできず、ただ、生きるためだけに働くことになるのではないか。これでは人生の意味がなくなってしまう。私は増税をするには、十分な給与がないといけないと考える。
また、増税して、今の日本では本当にメリットが一般市民にわかる形になるかわからないからである。
よって、私は大幅な消費税の増税に反対である。

The reason behind working is different depending on the person, but most people will not have any peace of mind in their lives, not being able to do what they enjoy, and just work for the sake of staying alive. There will be no meaning left in life. I think that in order to increase the tax, there needs to be enough salary paid.
Also, with the increased tax, I do not know if the benefit will be visible to average citizens in Japan.
Therefore, I am against large increases in the consumption tax.

Everyone has his/her own reason for working, but I wonder that people cannot afford to live, cannot have leisure, just work for life. If so life becomes aimless. I think sufficient salary should be paid if government wants to raise tax.

That is why I am against increasing lots of GST.
