私は、日本の消費税増税に対して、否定的です。北欧のような20%もの増税をすることによって、国が社会保障に使えるお金が増え、我々の生活がよくなる可能性があることは理解しています。

しかし、今の若い人たち(主に20代)の生活を見て考えよう。
働く知人の話を聞く限り、月にもらっている給料は、税金や保険料などを差し引くと、月収は20万程度であることが多い。これは国税庁からのデータからも明らかであり、20代の平均を見ると248万から344万と、月収で20万から30万に満たないとわかる。

I'm against the consumption tax hike in Japan. I understand that the nation can have more money for social security by increasing 20% of tax as in the Northern Europe, thus there is a potential that our life would be better.

But, let's have a look at young people's lives today (mainly 20-year old) .
As far as I know from what a working friend told me, he gets around 200.000 JPY as salary after deducting taxes and insurances. This is evident from National Tax Agency data saying that the average revenus are between 2.480.000 JPY and 3.440.000 JPY, it means that the revenus are not more than between 200.000 JPY and 300.000 JPY.
