Online grocery delivery service Honestbee has raised US$15 million in a series A round, it announced today. Silicon Valley investment firm Formation 8 led the round. The company has a track record of investing in technology companies like Oculus VR.

Meanwhile, developing markets in Asia Pacific are most willing to use online retail solutions like grocery delivery, according to Nielsen’s Global E-Commerce and The New Retail Report.

The question, then, becomes whether competition can help the online grocery delivery space grow in Southeast Asia, or if it will start a race to the bottom.
