John the Baptist was not the promised savior Messiah nor the second coming of prophet Elijah nor the great prophet Moses. If he was a person who was like a screaming voice in wasteland, then it was wrong that he gave baptism in the name of the god. Only his screaming would be enough. Why he gave the ritual to Israeli people even though the ritual was supposed to be for foreigners to let them change their religions to Israeli one.

It would not make sense for John the Baptist to give Baptism if he was not a promised savior, Messiah, nor the second coming of prophet Elijah, nor a great prophet like Moses, but a man like the voice of one shouting in the wilderness. Would just shouting be good enough? Why were the people of Israel baptized because baptism was essentially a religious ritual when gentiles converted to Israel's religion?

It is wrong for John the Baptist to baptize by the name of God if he is not the promised Savior Messiah, the return of prophet Elijah, or a great prophet such as Moses but just a lone voice in the wilderness. Not only raising voice, why did he have the people of Israel baptized which is originally a ceremony to convert the Gentiles to religion of Israel.
