後工程は、前工程へ必要な部品を必要な時に必要な量だけ引取りに行く。
そして、前工程は引き取られた量だけ生産補充する。
トヨタ生産方式が成功したのは 『カンバン』、『KAIZEN』 等の単なる生産管理ツールがあったためでなく、優れたモノづくりの匠（たくみ）が現場で日夜、改善に徹することができる職場風土だったためである

Kanban process is a Tool with which to prevent too much production while achieve Just-In-Time at the same time.
In the post-process, one goes to receive parts when needed, and as many as needed, for the pre-process.
And in the pre-process, one produces according to how many parts are received, and then replenishes them.
The reason of the success of Toyota's process method is not because of production management tools like "Kanban" and "KAIZEN," but because of its work atmosphere which allowed skilled craftsmen, working day and night there, to make constant efforts for improvement.

Downstream process withdraw the needed parts from upstream process when needed.
Then, upstream process produce parts to compensate withdrawn ones.
The reason why Toyota Production System succeed is not because of invention of production control tools such as “Kanban” or “KAIZEN”. It was because of the specific atmosphere encouraging competent masters of manufacturing to devote themselves KAIZEN works around-the-clock at their fields.
