Basically, places such as Kabukicho are where people rip people off. I think most of the people there are Japanese while tourist are rare. Their scheme is that they will call out to you, recommending you to bars and restaurant , and sex establishments. Then they will overcharge you.

Basically Kabuki Cho etc. has become the target of rip off merchants, It's mostly Japanese and there are not that many foreign tourist there I think. Their mode of operation is to skillfully call out to you to get you into restaurants and bars, and sex shops and in the end they demand exorbitant prices.
