最初に浮かんできたのは、小さなボールが跳ねていて、そのボールを手まりでもするように手でボールをはたこうとしているＲの姿です。わが道を行く、物事に動じない。大抵の猫はマイペースですが、Ｒはその中でも特に肝の据わったマイペースタイプに感じられました。

Ｒは、呼ぶとすぐに暗闇の中から現れて私の前にお行儀よくきちんと座りまっすぐ私を見つめてくれました。「に頼まれて来ました。お話をしてもいい？」と尋ねると、２度うなずいてくれました。

Translation / English

The first thing came out was a image of small bouncing ball and R trying to whisk the ball as if it was playing Japanese traditional handball. Going own way, and taking things calmly. Even though the most of the cats do things in their own pace, R seems to be particularly with steady nerve and the type does things in its own pace.

When I called R, it appeared from dark and sat politely in front of me. Then it stared at me. When I asked " I have been called by... Can I talk to you?", it replied me with two nods.

R was trying to strike a small ball as if playing at bouncing a handball, and that is my first image about R came up to my mind. Most cats go their own way and remain unperturbed about things. R is not exceptional. It appears to me that R especially has iron nerves and a stronger desire to do thing as R pleases compared with other cats.

R immediately showed up from darkness, when I called R. And then R came to sit in front of me in a well-mannered way and gazed at me. I asked, “() sent me here to talk with you. Is it all right to talk with you now?”
R nodded twice at me.

「にたのまれて来ました。」の部分ですが、誰に頼まれたのか不明でしたので、訳文では、( )にしています。また、この猫のRですが、オスかメスか分かりますか？教えて頂ければ幸いです。

Translation / English

The first image that came up to my mind is the that small ball is bumping and figure of R is trying to slap it as if he is dribbling. He walks his own road and unmoved. Generally speaking, majority of cats live at their own pace,but among those R seems especially brave enough to live life at his own pace.

When I call out his name, he came out of the darkness and sat neatly in front of me and looked straight into my eyes. "I have been asked by X. Do you mind if I speak with you? " I asked, then he nodded twice.

- あなたは迷子になっているの？それとも新しい家を探しているの？

「私は迷子になっているの。家に帰る道が分からない。それほど遠くではなく、方角も分かっているの。でもはっきりしない。」（おびえている様子はなく、落ち着いていましたが、かなり体力が落ちていて疲れている様子でした）

- （ピンクの光でＲを包み、Ｊをイメージしながら）「ご家族が探していますよ」と伝えました。

-Are you lost, or are you looking for a new house?
“I’m lost. I can’t find the way to go back to home. I don’t think it’s far away from here and I know which direction to go. But I’m not certain about that.” (R did not seem to be scared, actually quite composed, but R looked very exhausted.)

-Embracing R with pink light and thinking about J, I said to R, “Your family is looking for you.”

「ピンクのひかり」という所の意味が分かりにくかったので、そのまま直訳しています。ひょっとしたら、やさしい光とか、そういう意味だったのでしょうか？

-Are you lost?, or, are you looking for a new home?

" I am lost. I can not find the way home. It is not so far and I know the direction. But, I can see clearly the way. " It was calm and was not scared. Yet, it seems that it lost its stamina and looked very exhausted.)

-(As surrounding R with pink light, and, as imaging J ) I told her, " your family is looking for you"

"I'm lost. I don't know the way to go back home. I know it's not so far and which direction I suppose to go. But I'm not sure." (R doesn't look to be frighten but calm. However R looks so weak and tired.)

「分かってる」（ずっとＪにコンタクトを試みているけれど、Ｊに届く手前でそのエネルギーがはじかれているような感覚を受け取りました。）

- 今、リンちゃんはどこにいて何がおきているの？

首輪は今もつけている。胸のあたりに苦しさを感じました（Ｊは、Ｒには定期的に痙攣の発作があったのでそのせいだろうと言いました）。吐き気、生つばが出る感覚（持病をもっていて毎日薬を飲んでいた。吐き気は思い当たるとＪは言っていました）。（Ｒに深呼吸をするように伝え、再度ピンクの光を送りました。）

“I know.” (It seems that R has been trying to reach J, but R’s effort had been unsuccessful as if R’s energy was bounced back before it reached J.)

-Where do you stay and what is happening to you now, Rin?
I am still wearing my collar. I felt pains on the chest. (J told me that is was because R suffered from convulsion regularly.) I have nausea and an excessive secretion of saliva. (R used to take medicines daily for chronic illness. J remembers that R used to have nausea.) (I asked R to take a deep breath and sent R some more pink light again.)
