Monogatari Seriesで一番初めにアニメ化された作品です。2009年に放映されました。ブルーレイの売上はテレビアニメ部門に記録を打ち立てるほどの人気でした。
内容としては、街に現れた瀕死の女吸血鬼を助けたことがきっかけで、吸血鬼もどきの人間となってしまうKoyomi Araragiが怪異に憑かれた少女と出会い、彼女たちを助けるうちに人間的に成長していくというものです。
怪異に憑かれた少女は、Hitagi、Mayoi、Nadeko、Suruga、Tsubasaです。

This was the very first animated work of Monogatari Series. It was on air in 2009. The popularity was so high that the sales of the Blu-ray rocketed to the point that it broke the record of tv-anime category.
As for the contents, Koyomi Araragi saves a female vampire who was nearly dead in the city, and Koyomi becomes sort of vampirish. Then she meets girls haunted by Kaii, and as Koyomi saves them she grows up as a person.
The girls haunted by Kaii are Hitagi, Mayoi, Nadeko, Suruga, and Tsubasa.

前日談の傷物語も今後映画化される予定ですし、後日談の偽物語も2012年にアニメ化されました
