場所はひばりヶ丘駅から歩いてすぐ。教室内はフェイクグリーンが飾られていたりして、「森の彫金教室」という名前がピッタリの居心地の良い場所でした。所狭しと並べられている作業道具も、むしろインテリアとして溶け込んでイイ雰囲気。
教えてくれた先生はとても優しく、親しみやすい方でした。ただ工程を説明するだけでなく、彫金の技術や工具の使い方に関しても丁寧に説明してくださり、お陰様で良い勉強になりました。小学生の頃に使ったきりの工具なども登場し、当時の図工の授業を思い出して懐かしかったです。

It takes a few minutes walk from Hibarigaoka station. The place is very comfortable with fake green decrated inside the room, and "Chasing class in woods" matches to the place. A lot of tools in the room makes the nice atmosphere as interior.

I also bought an ornament of rake with Ebisu (the god of wealth) on. On the rake which is believed to gather all sorts of fortune, there is a treasure ship with Ebisu, catching a sea bream by using a shrimp, is on board. In addition to that, it has kobans (old Japanese gold oval coin), an Oiri (full house) card, a hapiness allow, and dices on. I heard a black beckoning cat on it is a symbol of the protection from evil and of good fortune. So many lucky charms are gathered on and it makes the ornament very gorgeous. Also, an interestingly designed towel with "see no evil, speak no evil, hear no evil" makes me buy. It has almost a month to the new year, so I am thinking of sending a letter with these gifts to Kevin's family in America.

人生初めてのそば打ちを体験をすることができました！以前にうどんは作ったことがあったのですが、そばはなかったのでせっかく東京に機会があったので参加してみました。ついてすぐにお店のそば打ち法被をお借りして気分はそば打ち名人。今回の先生は準教師さんではなく、鑑定士さんご本人でびっくり！いつもはさりげなく食べてるそばもそば粉の種類、状態、生産のことなどを学べて、そばの奥深さを知りました。粉から混ぜて、伸して、切る段階を一つずつ丁寧に教えてもらいました。

I have never experienced making buckweat noodeles before though I have done udon noodles, so I joined in it when I went to Tokyo. I felt like I was a buckweat noodles master by wearing the store's happi coat for buckweat noodles making. I was surprised that the instructor for this time was appraiser himself, not a semi-instructor! I usually eat buckweat noodles withut any intention, but now I know the depth of buckweat noodles by learning about the variaties of buckweat, condition, and production. He taught me throughly the mixing from pouder, stretching, and cutting steps one by one.
