In order to go to Aogashima, you first have to go to Hachijo-jima. It takes 40 minutes by air from Haneda Airport located in Tokyo. The one-way airfare is 15,000 yen, or if you're taking a boat, it will be approx. 8000 yen.

From Hachijo-jima to Aogashima, it takes 2 hours by boat or 40 minutes by helicopter.
No reservation is required for the boat to Aogashima; however, if the sea is choppy even a little bit, the boat will not get to the port. You will have to make a reservation if you'd like to take a helicopter. Helicopter ride will hardly be cancelled; however, it is hard to get a reservation.
Aoshima is a hard place to get to even if you're living in Japan.
