The collection consisted of 1995 kites, 532pictures(the pictures used as the kite, woodprints, paintings of pictures and calligraphics, draft pictures) and 163tools related to the kites(miniture books, miniture kites, references). Pieces succeeded from Yusaku Tawara, who was in good friendship with him were included in the collection.
It is said that the origin of Munakata's woodprint works was the pictures of kites of Aomori, his homeland, and he has left the words "Japan, the country of kites."
As it is the nighttime now I am planning to ask the Hosei University tomorrow if the collection is opend to the public or is it going to be.
It seems like Munakata had a strong relationship with the kites!
So I don't think it is strange to think he has been in frindship with Arai in Kagawa.
