Nippon Ichi Software are game developers from the center of Japan, the Gifu prefecture. They are famous for the Disgaea series and its most representative title - Disgaea: Hour of Darkness.

The company was established in 1993. It was formerly known as Prism Kikaku Ltd. It's listed in the Guinness Book of World Records as the company to make the biggest number of simulation RPGs.
