We deny the petition. The issue raised is factual. In an appeal via certiorari, we may not review the findings of fact of the Court of Appeals.[11]
Nevertheless, it appears that the Bañez spouses were the original owners of the parcel of land and improvements located at 32 Sarangaya St., White Plains, Quezon City. On January 11, 1983, the Bañez spouses and petitioner Pineda executed an agreement to exchange real properties. However, the exchange did not materialize.
Petitioner Pineda’s “sale” of the property to petitioners Duque was not authorized by the real owners of the land, respondent Bañez.

I have shipping profiles set up for the 20 or so countries I normally ship to, however I ship worldwide which is why I enabled the Rest of World setting. Having an option in Rest of World to exclude certain countries would be a great asset to Shopify's shipping options.

I have tried it with every Sony and Minolta lens I own (12 lens!). Primarily wanted it to work with a Minolta 75-300 zoom. I also attempted to fit it to a Minolta 500 reflex lens as well as some new Sony lenses (I'm usually shooting a Sony A58 but also use an older Sony Alpha). The problem is always the same—the front element of the tele-converter protrudes beyond the front edge to the lens body while the rear elements of all the lenses I own protrude beyond the rear of the lens body so what we have is the front element of the converter meets the rear element of the lens with almost 1mm of space between the bodies of the two lenses.

Now, those choices are about to become even more complicated. Two start-up companies are poised to begin selling bulbs that use entirely different technologies — one borrowed from heavy industry and the other from old-fashioned televisions — but meet the new energy standards.

Whether they can capture customers who remain stubbornly wedded to incandescent light is anybody’s guess.

Facebook’s Internet.org app brings free mobile internet to the Philippines

After rolling out the service in six countries since 2014, Facebook today announced the availability of the Internet.org app for millions of people in the Philippines.

The app provides mobile phone users free access to basic internet services related to education, health, employment, communication, and information and news.

This means Filipinos will now be able to browse Wikipedia for information, read the Inquirer for news updates, check the weather using Accuweather, look for jobs on Jobstreet, chat with friends on Facebook and more – without data charges. However, it’s limited to a bunch of curated sites that Facebook has chosen.

Through Internet.org, Facebook wants to bring internet services to two-thirds of the world who are not yet online, and it’s partnering with telcos across the globe to reach this goal. In the Philippines – the seventh country to get the service; the first in Southeast Asia – Facebook signed a deal with Philippine Long Distance Telephone Company’s mobile arm Smart Communications, which has 69 million subscribers.

For its initial phase, the Internet.org app allows Filipinos to get free access to a buffet of 24 websites.

Subscribers can download the app on Google Play Store, or simply text INTERNET to 9999 to access.

Smart says the partnership with Facebook is in line with its own drive for more digital inclusion. Smart has launched a number of promos for this purpose since early 2011. The latest promo offering subscribers 30MB of free mobile internet access per day was unveiled in September 2014.

The Internet and Mobile Marketing Association of the Philippines estimates that only 38 percent of the Philippine population had internet access as of mid-2014.

The judging panel consisted of three Japanese VCs: Shinichi Takamiya, partner and CSO at Globis Capital Partners; Jiro Kumakura, partner at Global Brain; and Yasuhiro Seo, the general manager of IMJ Investment Partners. Takamiya and Kumakura are based in Tokyo, while Seo is based in Jakarta.

While they showed some interest in all the firms, they were a bit skeptical of Com3Power’s ability to connect with consumers and of Genestream’s ability to differentiate itself from competing apps. Up Peforma’s big data analytical power and AirCloset’s early traction impressed, but the panel seemed most intrigued by Tamecco and D Free.
