€はポンドではなくユーロですね。

"I want you to return the article"は"記事も"ではなく、article"を"返してほしいと何を返してほしいのか念を押してるのではないかと思います。article"も"返してほしいのであれば、文末に"as well"のようなものがないと不自然だと思います。
