関市の春日神社は、正応元年（1288年）に関鍛冶の守護神として創建されたと云われています。
その後、刀工孫六兼元等の登場により関の刀鍛冶が日本全国に知られることとなり、例祭が盛んになりました。

They say that Kasuga Shrine in Seki City was founded as a guardian deity of the blacksmiths in Seki in 1288 (the first year of Shouo era).
After that, the blacksmiths in Seki became famous due to the appearance of a swordsmith, Magoroku Kanemoto and the annual celebration has become popular.
