私は大学4年の時の9月に北海道に１ヶ月部屋を借りた。それが学生の生活で最後の長期休みだったから、学生の時にしかできない事をしようと決めていた。その頃の私には北海道で長期を過ごすことしか頭になかった。私は今年の1月に札幌に通い始め、それで合計7回目だった。友達にそれを言うと「そんなに北海道が好きなのか」と驚かれる。でも私の彼女が北海道に住んでいることを考えれば多すぎる事もない。私が月に一度行くのは彼女に月に一度会いに行くためでもあるが、それが北海道でよかった。

September, when I was in my senior year in university, I rented a room in Hokkaido. Because it was the last long vacation while I was a student, I had made up my mind to do things that can only be done when one is still a student. Back then, I had nothing in mind but staying in Hokkaido for a long period. I had been in Sapporo for the seventh time, from when I started frequenting the place in January of this year. When I tell my friends that, they ask how much do I have to like the place, to be going there so often. But when you consider the fact that my girlfriend lives in Hokkaido, then it would not feel as overly frequent as it did. The reason why I go there monthly is to see my girlfriend, and I'm glad that I was going to Hokkaido to meet her.
