Narukami Yu is the main character of Persona 4. The name Narukami Yu is an anime original, while the game itself does not specify a name and allows the character to use their own.
Because of his parents' work, he lodges at his uncle's house, goes to Yasogami High School and deepens his exchange with a friend called Yosuke.
In order to solve the serial murders occurring in town and the puzzle of the other universe, he joins up with his friends in an Investigation Team and uses the power of Persona to investigate the truth.

普段は冷静で物静かな性格で、Investigation Teamのリーダーを務めていますが、従妹のNanakoのことを溺愛しており、性格が豹変し、そのギャップがとても面白いです。
また話が進むと特にYosukeと友情を深め、彼に対しては下の名前で呼ぶ程仲が良くなり、DoujinshiでもYosukeと一緒にいることが多いです。

Usually he is calm and quiet, works as a leader of Investigation Team, but he really loves his cousin Nanako and his character drastically changes. The gap between his characters is very insteresting.
As the story goes on, especially his friendship with Yosuke deepens, the become so close as they call each other by the first name, and he is often seen with Yosuke in Doujinshi, too.
