私は人に投票で評価をされることがはじめてだった。自分が仲間にどう思われているのかを知ることができる初めての経験だった。怖さも感じたが、そのときは私は自分のことに自信があった。昔から私は口数が少なく、積極的な性格でもなかった。学校のリーダーやクラブのリーダーを自分から立候補したことはなかった。心の中では自分はできると確信していても、それを口に出すことができない人間だった。だから私は自分に自信を持って、積極的に自分の力をアピールしたのが初めてだった。

That was the first time I was evaluated by people's votes. It was a first for me to be able to know what my friends thought of me. I felt afraid, but at that time, I was confident in myself. I had never been somebody who spoke a lot, and I also did not have an assertive personality. I have never became a candidate for a position of leadership in school or a club of my own accord. Even if I believed I could do it in my heart, I was the sort of person who could not put that into words. That is why it was the first time for me to have confidence in myself and assertively appeal my own strengths.
