忙しくて何も出来なかったとよく言うが、暇があればできるというわけのものでもない。
しなくてはならない仕事は何となく気が重い。どうでも構わないようなことに心を惹かれる。
時間があっても”小さなこと”に目を奪われていれば時間がなくなってしまい、やはり、何も出来なくなってしまう。
刃物のような鋭いエッジが、柔らかいもので出来ている、というのが豆腐だ。
あの豆腐の佇まいには、日本食の美の一つの極みがあるような気がするのだが。

One would often say he could not do anything because he was so busy, but even when there is time it still does not mean that things can be done.
Tasks that are mandatory makes me feel heavy-hearted. I get attracted to unimportant things.
Even though there is time, time runs out while while your attention is caught by "minor stuff", then I get unmotivated to do anything after all.
What is made of something soft which edge is sharp like a blade is called tofu.
The image of that tofu seems having one extreme beauty of Japanese food.

People sometimes say “I was too busy to do it”, but having a spare time does not mean people get things done.
I am not so keen to complete the work that needs to be done. Instead, something unnecessary draws my attention. If you are attracted on a small matter and spend time on it when you have time, you would waste your time and not accomplish any thing even.
