This refresher bonus expands on painting hair like the eyebrow module bonus video did. I reiterate a lot of the same things to keep in mind: painting hair is a journey, start with a medium you’re comfortable with (pencils and zig pens give you more control) and graduate to comb brushes when you’re ready. Make sure your strokes have movement, and create those v’s and y’s and reverse v’s and y’s as you work. And of course – PRACTICE! And trust in the process. I still get nervous painting hair, and doubt the process until it all starts to come together. Have faith. Keep working at it. And don’t stop unless you’re happy with what you’ve created.

It may take 3-8 layers of painting to get the look you want. And don’t strive for perfection! We all start somewhere.
The brushes I referenced to mimic the fluffy strokes of a comb brush are HERE:
— Purple lines I’d do with the large, and green would be the medium blender. If you’re new to painting hair, it will offer you more control than a comb.
Then use a needle point or fine liner for detailing strokes like before.
The needlepoint brush is THIS ONE.
Mimics the 20/0 fine liner or script liner I recommend in the course, but has slightly longer strokes and keeps a straighter line (IMO). Easier to transition to after working with pencils/zig pen as well.

Please note: You can root with eyes in or out. It is recommended, as a beginner, to root with the eyes removed as you’ll break less needles and can hone the proper angle.
