日本国でも医薬品以外の食品用途だと特に規制はありません。

Regarding a regulation for the ethyl ester in Japan, pharmaceutical products that have been esterified to fish oil up and only those that are purified up to 97% are only regulated by the medical drug law.
If those are used for food consumption rather than used as medicine, it's not regulated in Japan.
Consumption of EPA medicine is not recommended to use by pregnant women and nursing women, therefore we advise users to be aware.
