The 72xxx has a great mid-range presence, just a really "meaty" core. And the straphook is in the wrong place, unfortunately. I may have forgot to mention that in the video. We could either move it over (which would leave light evidence of a resolder), or we could build an extension that fixes the balance issues that come with misplaced neckstrap.

Yes, we removed the pickup and had our dent specialist, Aaron, plug the hole that was left. He does really great work with necks that have been damaged, and he did an excellent job with the pickup on this one.
Between the 72xxx and the 122xxx, the 122xxx is by far more free-blowing and perhaps slightly darker. It's a very fun horn to play! The 72xxx has a little more punch to it, but that's part of the resistance.
