来年は申年ですね。ちなみに私は申年。今日、干支だるまの申を買いました。申は、「去る」と音が通じることから、災いが去ると信じられ、神様の使いとされてきたそうです。縁起のよい芸といわれる猿回しの赤い衣装に、おめでたい白梅が描かれており、紅白をあらわしているそうです。写真に写っている小さなサルはおみくじで、底面の紐を引くと中からおみくじが出てきます。

I heard a black beckoning cat on it is a symbol of the protection from evil and of good fortune. So many lucky charms are gathered on and it makes the ornament very gorgeous. Also, an interestingly designed towel with "see no evil, speak no evil, hear no evil" makes me buy. It has almost a month to the new year, so I am thinking of sending a letter with these gifts to Kevin's family in America.
