近いが故に大きなずれも訪れる。
ここでは、一瞬日本にいるかのような瞬間もあれば、
まったく違う瞬間も訪れる。
常に微妙な距離感が、つきまとう。
この韓国の地で
街の中で写り込む自分の姿を撮影しながら、
近いようで遠い存在を感じる。
鏡の向こう側の自分
そこに移り込む背景とノイズによって、
実際、
いま、
どこにいるのかを感じとれるのです。
Japan and Korea, it seems like there are a lot in common.
Close distance creates big difference.
Here, there is a moment I feel as if I'm in Japan,
but there is totally different moment as well.
Always subtle distance follows.
Here in Korea
I photograph myself appearing in town,
I feel distant existence although it feels close.

With background and noise appearing there,
actually,
now,
I can feel where I am.
