警備員は、空間を漂い、空間を俯瞰していく存在である。
私はかつて展示場である現代美術館の警備員のバイトをしていた。
このとき、私はまるで水の上を浮かぶ舟の様に空間の上に浮かんで移動しているような感覚があった。かつて、この美術館の場所には水路があり、埋め立てられた上に建築が建てられた。この知識がきっと警備員の私が、美術館の建築を巡回している折に、舟の上に乗って浮遊するような感覚にしていたのだと思う。
The security guard exists to wander through the space and to overlook the area.
I once had a part-time job as a security guard at a modern art museum exhibit.
At that time, I had the feeling of floating about in the same way that a ship floats on water. There was once a waterway in the vicinity of the museum, and it was filled to build the museum. I, the rigid security guard with this knowledge, think that I had the feeling of floating on a boat when patrolling the museum.
その体験をもとに、かつてあった水路と美術館の大きな通路／巡回路の２つの存在を重ね合わせようとも思った。
舟と警備員、昔と今、この両者を重ね合わせ建築の空間と向き合う。
そうすべく、私の分身として、段ボールで作られた舟が美術館の建築の表と裏を巡回し、漂うような映像を撮影した。

水路と順路とを重ね合わさるように、通路の空間を作った。
そして、いくつもの壁で裏と表の境界が交差させ、そのすき間に映像を設置した。
Based on this experience, I thought of superimposing the water canal that existed and the large hallway /path.
A boat and a security guard, past and present; face the architectural space created by superimposing the two.
To achieve this, I captured images of a cardboard boat go around floating the front and the back of the museum building.

Furthermore, the front and the back intersect at many walls and the images were installed in the space.
