お作りいただいた楽茶碗は、後日 職人が筆ぬりにて釉を施し・焼成をいたします。
Our studio organizes a trial pottery class on an appointment basis.

電気轆轤を一切使わず、じっくりと手捏ねにてお好みの形の楽茶碗原型をお作りいただく体験です。

You can experience RAKU WARE pottery production from the begging as our craftsperson is doing on a daily basis.
電気轆轤を一切使わず、土の塊からお好みの楽茶碗原型を一から造り上げ、
カンナで御自分の納得する形、厚み、重さまで削り、お好みの楽茶碗を仕上げていただきます。
職人が専属で付きご指導いたします。
10時30分 作陶開始
(約60分 手捏ね作陶 思いを巡らせお好みの形に)

11時30分 茶碗乾燥
(約2時間 休憩)
ご自由にお過ごし下さり、亀岡市内観光や散策をお楽しみください。
14時00分に窯までお戻りいただければ結構です。
Without using any electric woodtuener, you can start by making a RAKU WARE bowl mold from scratch with clods of dirt, and shave it into your preferred shape, thickness and weight. You will then have a RAKU WARE bowl of your choice.
Our craftsman will be with you to guide you through.
10:30 - Start pottery making
(Hand kneading for 60 minutes, pour your thoughts into it and make it into your preferred shape)

11:30 - Drying process
(2 hours of break)
Please feel free to visit us to enjoy sightseeing in Kameoka City or walkabout.
Please return to the stove area at 14:00.

この3タイプのお茶碗の中から一種類を選び、職人が仕上げる工程と全く同じ、削り仕上げ体験。

*We understand you have limited time. We can arrange to separate the course into 2 days. For instance, you can knead the clay on the first day and finish making the bowl on the second day.

Replicated RAKU WARE bowl made using Sharaku stove.

You can choose one of the three bowls above, and follow exactly the same process and finishing that a craftsman does.
昭楽窯の職人が手捏ねした写し楽茶碗を、見本を見ながらカンナで削り仕上げをしていただきます。
お選びいただいた写し茶碗を2つ、削り仕上げをしていただき、より良く出来た1つを職人が拘って筆ぬりにて釉を施し・焼成いたします。
※本体験は忠実に写しを再現して頂く為、職人が付いて指導いたしますが、非常に難しい作陶です

You will shave and finish a replicated RAKU WARE bowl kneaded by a Sharaku stove craftsman by looking at a sample.
You will finish the process of 2 selected bowls, and a craftsman will carefully select the better bowl, glaze it with a paintbrush and sinter it.
*In order for you to faithfully replicate the original, our craftsman will guide you through. However, this is requires very difficult techniques.
