余分な物を造りすぎるために発生するムダで、パレットや箱が余計に必要となったり、余分な運搬作業の増加、材料の先食い、倉庫や置場の増大などが発生する。
TIEでは最も悪いムダと呼んでいる。
運搬のムダとは、一時的な仮置きや積み替え、または必要以上の運搬距離により生ずるムダをいう。
在庫があるという安心感から、設備故障、品質問題などの根本的な対策が遅れてしまう。
仕事量が少ない時や前後工程のバランスが悪い時、また機械が自動的に加工している間、作業者が何もしないで待っている状態をいう。

At TIE, they are called the worst possible wastes.
The waste of transportation shall mean such as the waste caused by a temporary placement, reshipment, or unnecessary transportation distance.
Sense of security may result a delay in fundamental measures for defects at the facility, quality issues, etc.
It shall mean the status where workers are simply waiting for instruction without doing anything while the work load is fewer, the balance before and after the itinerary is bad, or the machine is processing automatically.
