JISZ8103に「標準器又は計測器が、より高位の標準によって次々と校正され、国家標準につながる経路が確立されていること」と定義されています。
トレーサブル(Traceable)とは、由来をたどることが出来るという意味であり、計測器の管理番号などからを校正記録を突き止められます。
計測器には全て管理用ラベルが貼付され、有効期限が表示されています。
期限の到来時には精度検査を行って合格なら期限を更新します。
