Notable Chinese musicians including James Li helped fine-tune the sound. The headphones are designed to work especially well with the new Xiaomi Note’s HiFi playback hardware.
The earpieces are interchangeable, allowing the listener to choose between on-the-ear and over-the-ear styles. In addition, at the end of the ceremony, Lei unveiled a mini set-top box that doubles as a smart plug and a charger. Set to go on sale in China on January 20, the palm-sized cube sports Bluetooth 4.0, a quad-core CPU, and dual-band wifi.
