‘Someone glued my doors and windows shut so I couldn’t leave the house’
‘The chemical in turkey made me fall asleep, so I missed my shift’.
Each year, CareerBuilder.com and Harris Poll compile a list of ‘unbelievable excuses for calling in sick’ given by employees in America. The examples above are from 2013.
But if you hoped 2014 had been more realistic? Prepare to be sorely disappointed.
