2月25日、東京・豊島区の自由学園明日館講堂で「ADシンポジウム2014」が開催された。
異なる業界団体が集まりアクセシブルデザイン（AD）・福祉用具関連の調査、開発、標準化、普及、国際化等の事業について情報共有を行なっているアクセシブルデザイン協議会では、毎年社会情勢に合わせてテーマを決め、シンポジウムを行なっている。
今回は、2020年に東京で開催されることが決まった『東京パラリンピック』に向けて、産業界が取り組めること、をテーマに基調講演を含む4つの講演を展開した。

The Accessible Design Conference that sharies information on the businesses of research, development, standardization, disperse, globalization, etc. of Accessible Design (AD) and welfare equipment, decide a theme sccoding to the social conditions and perform a symposium every year.
This year they launched 4 lectures including a keynote with a theme: 'What the ndustries can do in preparation for "the Tokyo Paralympics" to be in Tokyo in 2020.'
