その総質量はなんと3 万6000t。
スカイツリーの足元を支える柱の鉄骨のなかで、最大のものは直径2.3m、厚さ10cm、長さ4mにもなります。
これだけの量の鉄骨を約2年という短い期間に集中して供給するため、日本の主要鉄鋼メーカーと鉄鋼加工業者が力を合わせました。
日本各地で造られた鉄柱は、次々と建設現場に運び込まれます。

The Tokyo Sky Tree is made by assembling 37 thousands of iron frames.
Its gross weight is 36 thousand tons.
The biggest one among iron frame columns which hold up the Sky Tree is 2.3 m diameter, 10 cm thickness and 4 m length.
In order to supply such large amount of iron frames in a short period of about two years with concentrated power, Japanese major steel manufacturers and steel machining manufacturers worked together.
Steel poles manufactured across Japan were carried in the construction site after another.
