柳川の名物の一つがこのうなぎのせいろ蒸し。
タレを絡めて味付けしたご飯の上に、蒲焼きにしたうなぎ、錦糸玉子を乗せせいろで蒸します。
うなぎの旨味が、蒸すことによりご飯に染み込こんで上手さ倍増。

Bamboo steamer grilled eel
A specialty of Yanagawa is the bamboo steamer grilled eel.
They put grilled eel and kinshi-tamago egg strips on top of rice added with black and thick dipping broth and steam it in the bamboo steamer.
The good taste of the grilled eel goes further into the rice by the steaming, doubling the palatability.
You can't resist the soft and fluffy texture.
