開会にあたり、ちば国際コンベンションビューロー代表理事の髙栁哲男氏が主催者を代表して挨拶。「昨年は4月に公益財団法人化し、7月にちばMICEサロンの開催、10月はIMEXアメリカへの参加、年末には国際ミーティング・エキスポに共同で出展したほか、国際会議誘致開催貢献賞を受賞した」と昨年の活動を振り返った。
