Jardan社が世界に拡大していく上で、商品のクオリティを維持する上で直面する困難は、国によって商品に対する価値観の違いがある。先進国では、クオリティーの良い製品を好むが、中国や発展途上国などは、安さを追求する。なので、Jardan社が中国などに工場を置いて商品を製造した場合、クオリティー低下が懸念される。そのような困難に対処しなければならない。また文化、組織の考え方も国によって違う。そのような事をうまくコントロールしていかないと、商品のクオリティーを維持することは困難だ。
As Jardan is expanding its business, it can face difficulties in maintaining the quality of its products, because the values people look for in products are different from country to country.
In developed countries, people prefer high quality products, but in China and other developing countries, they expect prices to be lower. Therefore, if Jardan will build a plant in China and manufacturer goods, the quality could be deteriorated. They will have to deal with this kind of problem. Also, cultures and way of thinking in organization vary depending on the country. It will be difficult to maintain the quality of products without taking into consideration these factors.
まず、Jarden社とMapa Spontex 社とOrganizational cultureのどこが共通しているのか、どこが違っているのかをすべて明確にすること。そしてOrganizational cultureの違っている部分を丁寧にMapa Spontex社の社員に教えて理解してもらうこと。また、Jarden社のマネージャーをMapa Spontexに配属させ、逆にMapa Spontexの一般社員をJardan社に配属させる。
First they need to clearly identify the common ground and difference between the organizational cultures of Jarden and Mapa Spontex. Then they should thoroughly educate the employees of Mapa Spontex about difference in organizational culture. Also, managers from Jarden should work in Mapa Spontex while Mapa Sopontex’s regular employee will come and work in Jardan.
それによって徐々にJarden社のOrganizational cultureを浸透させていくことを進める。一方的にJarden社のOrganizational cultureを押し付けては反発が起きるので良くない。
They should promote and penetrate the organizational culture of Jarden through these activities. They should not push Jarden’s organizational culture as it will cause push backs.
