日本人が主に使う文字は、漢字・ひらがな・カタカナの3種類です。
それに数字・ローマ字・記号も使います。
新聞や本では、これらの文字がほとんどです。

ひらがなとカタカナは46種類あります。
これがひらがなです。


漢字の正確な数はわからないんですが
日本最大の辞書には約5万文字が載っています。
その内よく使うのは2千文字ほどです。
小学校から中学校の義務教育で習う漢字の数も同じ2千文字ほどです。
