I think the majority of Takarazuka fans in Japan is your mum's generation.
A lot of young fans go to see the musicals with their mums since tickets cost about 10,000 Yen or more.
Play and Kabuki are also fairly expensive along with musicals, so many of those who can afford are elder generation.
I wish the tickets would be more affordable, but I guess traditions are hard to break aren't they?
