I love translating different kind of documents. especially when they teach me about something new.

My name is Marcus Rodrigues, Brazilian, and my native language is Portuguese. I am graduated in journalism and I have six years of experience in localization, copywriting, proofreading, transcreation and English/Spanish to Brazilian Portuguese translations, mainly for company data, documents, websites, articles, mobile apps, games, e-books and official presentations of different niches as marketing, culture, health, oil and gas, business, technology, IT and educational.

As part of my experience I need to translate and adapt to my native language several kinds of documents, from contracts to marketing strategies; this developed my interest in the translation field, and since 2013 I began to work doing translations for friends and people I know, and for the last year I’ve been working for a Canadian company translating legal documents on demand.

I've knowledge and experience with html, css, php, mysql, cpanel, plesk, phpmyadmin, ftp, dns... And with wordpress and Search engine optimization. Also, I can translate a website from english to spanish or from spanish to english as I'm from Spain and I've good marks at english.

I spent fourteen years in the healthcare sector in financial, technical, and training roles where I became known as a talented instructor who used a strengths-based approach and adapted to others’ learning style. Throughout these various positions, my multicultural background, my fluency in Spanish and English, proved to be valuable assets, as I was often called upon to write, translate and edit various documents, manuals, and client correspondence. I have since made the leap to freelance writing and translation and I am currently based out of La Paz, Bolivia. As a certified interpreter (English/Spanish) with a strong academic background in the Liberal Arts, I believe a foundation in the humanities has helped me develop a meaningful and energetic conversation with the world around us.

I am enthusiastic about my work, otherwise I would not still love it after more than 30 years!
