特に主題歌やストーリーでの評価が高く、私もプレイしてとても感動しました！
舞台はAuldrantという惑星で、その惑星の国の１つKimlasca-Lanvaldear王国の貴族の一人息子Lukeが主人公です。
Lukeは幼少期に敵対している国、Malkuthの人間に誘拐されたことがあり、救出はされましたが、それが原因でそのあとは軟禁状態の暮らしを余儀なくされていました。

Tales of the Abyss is a game that is very popular within the Tales series.
I was particularly moved by the high quality of the theme song and story when I played!
The setting is a planet called Auldrant, and the main character is Luke, the only son of the royal family of the country Kimlasca-Lanvaldear on that planet.
Luke was kidnapped in his childhood by people of Malkuth, a country that was hostile towards Kimlasca-Lanvaldear. Luke was rescued, but with that as the reason, afterwards, he was forced to live in confinement.

The highlight of this work is seeing how Luke, who was selfish, grows throughout the game. At first you might feel irritated looking at him, but Luke finds out the secret hidden within himself during a certain incident and decides to change his own behaviour, which I think makes you want to watch over his stance of deciding to change himself.
As well, it is interesting how the companions who do not get along at all at first gradually get along better.
There are many fans in Japan who fell in love with Tales with this work! So people who have not played this yet, please, by all means, try playing it!
