The layers were removed by one of the best seamstresses in the bay area, and the physical appearance of the dress was not altered in any way during this process. Bust cups were not sewn in. French bustles were added to the dress. The sideseam was altered to make the bodice fit better, and it was also hemmed to my height with shoes, which is 5'7".
