ドラクエのようなRPGは、「努力したら、レベルがあがり、金も貯まり幸せになれる」という一種の「思想」が伝わる設計になっている。日本でRPGがはやった理由のひとつは、昭和までの日本人が持っていた「働いて貯蓄してたら、いつかは幸せになれる」という価値観と合致したからだろう。

Those Roll-Playing Games (RPG) like Dragon Quest are designed to tell a kind of "consciousness" like, "The more you try, the higher your level would be, and consequently be happy with saved money." One of the reason why it becomes so popular would be the agreement with the "consept of value" which the japanese people till Showa used to have; "You'll be happy someday if you work and save money."

RPG like dragon quest is designed to express a thinking of "if you work hard, your level can get up, and you can earn money and happiness". In Japan, one of the reasons why RPG is played is that it accords with the values of "if you work and deposit, you will get happiness one day" which is believed by Japanese till the showa time.
