I am sure you were aware that how you packed the item was so simple that it would damage the item inside. The item packed inside is vintage, and its box is equally valuable. You had to use a corrugated carton at least to pack valuable items.
If you sent me the item in such a simple packaging based simply on your past experience that no items had been damaged with the same packaging method, then I must say you are an irresponsible seller who lacks responsibilities. It is not the same as you sending a package to your friend. You have received some money for this.
What would you feel if an item you paid for arrived broken?
