SPF is an abbreviation for Sun Protection Factor and it indicates preventive effect against UVB wave.In general, bare skin will start to look red after 20 munites bathing on summer beach."SPF1" is the standard of this 20 munites.In other words SPF 30 sunblock will protect the skin from redden for 30 times longer in terms of duration.
