『トヨタ、インドで完成車輸出を開始…南アへ年間2万台』
トヨタ自動車4日、インドで生産する『エティオス』シリーズを南アフリカに向け輸出を開始した。同社は、新興国を重点分野と位置付け、今回の完成車輸出を機に、インドを完成車やトランスミッションの生産供給拠点として発展させる考え。
4日(現地時間)には、同社のインドにおける製造・販売子会社トヨタ・キルロスカ・モーター(TKM)が、インド・チェンナイ近郊のエンノール港において記念式典を実施した。
Toyota Motors started exporting its Etios series which the company produces in India, to South Africa on April 4. Toyota regards emerging countries as important markets and aims to develop its Indian quarters to a production and supply base for completed cars and transmissions with the start of export of its completed vehicles.
Toyota Kirloskar Motor Private Ltd. (TKM), Toyota’s subsidiary for production and sales in India, on 4th (local time) held a commemorative ceremony at Ennore Port in suburban Chennai of India.
On 4th, Toyota started to export its "Etios" series manufactured in India to South Africa. This company put a high priority to the rising nations. This completed car export business will be the fist step to make India their main place for generates and supply.

式典には、インド・カルナタカ州内務・運輸省アショカ大臣、同州重工業省ニラニ大臣ほかの来賓を迎え、TKMのビクラム・キルロスカ副会長、中川宏社長ら約200名が出席、輸出港となるエンノール港で輸出1号車が船積みされ、TKM初の輸出開始を祝った。
TKM中川社長は「輸出開始という新たなフェーズに入った。今日は、トヨタにとって、記念すべき日となる」と語った。
輸出台数は年間2万台を予定している。
Mr. Nakagawa said at the ceremony, “We are now in the new phase, a start of exporting. Today is a day to commemorate for Toyota.”
The company aims to export 20,000 vehicles per year.
“This is a commemorable moment for all of us in Toyota as we begin a new chapter of business with the start of the exports," said TKM Managing Director Nakagawa.
Toyota expects sales to reach sales of 20,000 annually.
The president of TKM, Mr. Nakagawa said, "We have entered into the new phase as we started export. Today is a memorable day for Toyota."
TKM is planning to export 20,000 vehicles per annum.
