あまりにも大人の対応をされてしまい、ミズキは戸惑う。
そんなミズキを見て、ナツメは笑っていた。
ヒイラギ：「そういえば、君の名前は？ 声も足音も聞いたことがない」
そう言われ、ヒイラギが盲目であることをミズキはやっと思い出す。
ミズキ：「ミズキです。昨日からお世話になってます」
ヒイラギ：「ミズキくん………？」
少し考えるヒイラギ。だが、すぐに元の笑顔に戻った。
ヒイラギ：「うん。ミズキくんか。いい名前だね」
Natsume was looking at Mizuki with a smile.
Hiiragi "Anyway, what's your name? I never heard your voice and footstep."
Getting the words, Mizuki finally noticed she is a blind
Mizuki "My name is Mizuki. I came here yesterday."
Hiiragi "you... Mizuki?"

まるで何かを誤魔化すように笑い、ヒイラギは手探りでソファに腰掛ける。
ヒイラギ：「王子は小さいころから厳しく育てられたらしいからね。親しい同世代の友達もいないみたいだし、そもそもあまり人と話さないからね」
ヒイラギは遠回しに言っているが、言わんとすることはわかった。
王子は他人との話し方を知らない。だから口が悪くても仕方がない。
端折りすぎた気もするが、大体はそんなところだろう。
ミズキ：「他人と話さない王家っていうのもどうかと思いますよ」
Hiiragi : "Prince was brought up with strict rules since young. He doesn't even have friends his age. Anyway, he doesn't speak to people much"
Hiiragi goes around the bush, but what he meant to say is clear.
Prince doesn't know how to talk to others. So it cannot be helped even if he has a sharp tongue.

そう言うと、ヒイラギは苦笑した。
あんな王子………引いては、あんな王族が治めてる国が、よく沈まないと思う。
ヒイラギの部屋の掃除を終わらせて、ナツメと廊下へ出る。
すると、それを待ち構えていたかのようにマユミが立っていた。
ミズキ：「メイド長………？」
(平手)
ミズキ：「………っ？！」
頬を、打たれた。
あまりに突然だったので、ミズキは受け身も取れずに廊下へ倒れ込む。
I wonder how a country governed by that kind of prince... that kind of royalty does not sink.
After cleaning Hiiragi's room, Mizuki exits the room to the corridor with Natsume.
Then, Mayumi, as if she has been waiting for this moment, is standing there.
Mizuki : "Maid master?!"

最初は鋭い痛みが一瞬走っただけだった。しかし、しばらくすると頬が熱を持ち、じわじわと侵食するような鈍いものへと変わっていく。
ナツメ：「ミズキくん？！」
ナツメが駆け寄って、肩を支えてくれた。
マユミを見ると、眉間に酷くシワを寄せてミズキを睨んでいる。
思わず睨み返しそうになったのだが、そのときネムの「反抗すれば最後」という忠告を思い出して、ミズキは顔を取り繕って「なんですか、いきなり」とだけ返した。
Natsume : "Mizuki-kun?!"
Natsume runs to him and holds his shoulders.
When Mizuki looks at Mayumi, she is staring at Mizuki with her brow furrowed.
Mizuki so wants to return the stare at Mayumi, but remembers Nemu's words - "it is the end once you go against her" - and so Mizuki smooths over his facial expression and just asks her, "what is going on?!".
マユミ：「あなたは下男でしょう。王子の悪口を、国賓の歌うたい殿に話すなんて。私だから平手で済んでいますが、王族や忠臣たちに聞かれたら………あなた、自分がどうなるのかわかっていますか？」
マユミに睨まれ、ミズキはぐっと歯軋りする。
確かに、下男だろうが他人だろうが、誰かの悪口や陰口を言うのは良くない。
それを『国のお客様』であるヒイラギに話したのも良いことではない。
マユミの言いたいことはわかった。
しかし、平手打ちをすることはないだろう。
Mayumi stares at Mizuki, and Mizuki grinds his teeth.
True, it is not a good thing to say bad things or speak behind someone's back whether you are a servant or not.
