I did offer but I was told that it would take 2days or so to respond and considering other bidders may bid on it during that time frame, I ended up bidding right away.
I had been looking for this amp and could not let it go, so I decided to bid.

I heard it will take about two days to get a response even though I've already offered. So, I made a successful bid on that immediately since it could be knocked down to someone else in the meanwhile.
I took the courage to make the successful bid on the amplifier because I had been looking for it for a long time and I really want to get it.
