祈ってもかなえられなかったり、何か悪いことが起こったりすると、神様が私から遠く離れているとか、神様の存在そのものを疑ってしまうことがあります。しかし、聖書の神様は確かに存在しておられます。私たち人間がどう考えようとも、永遠の昔から存在し、この世界にご自身の栄光を現しておられます。イスラエルの民は、本当に自分たちも約束の地に入れるのか疑っていたのでしょう。神様の存在を疑っている人もいたかもしれません。
自分たちが罪を犯し、神に背を向けているから、神様を近くに感じられないのです。

When our prayers are not answered, when bad things happen, we start questioning if god has abandoned us or if He truly exists. However, god from the Bible does exist. He existed long before we humans can even imagine, and reveals His glory through this world. Perhaps people of Israel wondered if they too could enter the Promised Land. Maybe some of them even questioned the existence of god.
We don't feel god near us as we sin and turn our backs to Him.

Sometime when we failed even if we have prayed or when something bad happened, we may vice God is far away from me, or become suspicious of the existence of God. However, the Bible God exist certainly. However we human consider, God exist from eternity, and present the glory of himself in this world. The people of Israel, might doubted whether they can enter their land as the promises. There might be people who are suspicious of the presence of God.
They couldn't feel God nearby because they committed crime and they turned their backs on God.
